Our City Too
Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 5th, 2024

The Our City Too mobile application (the “App”) and website (the “Website” and collectively with the App, the “Services”) are provided by Connected Communities Software Co. We respect your privacy and have designed the Services with your privacy in mind. This Privacy Policy (the “Policy”) describes how we collect, use, and disclose personal information and what choices you have.

We may update or amend this Policy at our sole discretion. We will post the changes on this page and indicate at the top of this page the date the policy was last revised. You are responsible for regularly reviewing the most current version of the Policy, which is available in the Services. We will also notify you of any material changes either through a pop-up notice, email or through other reasonable means.

We receive or collect various personal data when you install and use the Services. This Policy sets out what personal data we may collect, how we process and protect that data and the lawful grounds for that processing. In most cases, the lawful ground will be that the processing: (i) is necessary for our legitimate interests in carrying out our business, including to grow and improve the Services, provided those interests are not outweighed by your rights and interests (“Legitimate Interests”), (ii) is necessary to perform a contract with you (“Contract”), or (iii) we have a legal obligation to carry out the processing (“Legal Obligation”). Where processing is based on your consent (“Consent”), we will identify the processing purposes and provide you with relevant information to make the processing fair and transparent.

To use the App, you must either create an account or sign-in with a 3rd party single-sign on provider like Google, Apple, Facebook, or Instagram. When you create an account we require a valid email address from you, and some basic personal details like your names and your public social media account IDs may be automatically collected depending on your sign-in method. For access to discussions and sharing other user-content, we will be requiring users of these features to provide further identifiable information in order to provide accountability in the case of abuse of the platform or other users. We will never share your personal information with other users or third parties unless you explicitly authorize us to do so.

When you install the app, sign-in for the first time, and also periodically, we ask for your permission to track your physical location while you are using the app. This is optional, but due to the geographic nature of Our City Too, users who do not approve these permissions will be missing out on core features of the App. We use your location to determine your distance from listings and to help you find your community's information, and there is no detailed background tracking of your location. We at Our City Too understand that your location is sensitive information and we take the protection of that information very seriously. Due to the nature of Internet Protocol addresses and your Unique Device ID, it is not feasible for us to completely eliminate the tracking of all information that relates to your location, but you may opt-out of the location tracking permissions and/or manually revoke location permissions through your phone's app management settings you've. If you need assitance with this, feel free to contact us at support@ourcitytoo.com.

When you make a post on Our City Too, we may retain the post as necessary under applicable law. Posts may contain personal data. You can view your posts and you can choose to delete them from your profile.

You may provide us with information related to your use of the App. For example, you may send us an email with information relating to the performance of the App or other issues.
